Movin' on Up, movin' on Up

Holy Cow! I feel like I could sleep for a month straight and I’m in dire need of a manicure, pedicure, brow wax and a root touch up. And I’ve got a cold. I’m falling apart!! Oh yeah and I’m packing!!!!! Almost done! The boys pack my things into the trailer on Thursday and then we sign a thousand papers on Friday!!!! So 2 days till I get my house and only one more day of work, Thursday is going to take FOR-EV-ER.
So funny things I found while packing:
  • My old diairy from 1994 to 2002, Man I was boy crazy and silly. Georgia read it aloud in her sexy phone operator voice, makes an eight year olds life sound really interesting.
  • All of my favorite old stuffed animals I gave them all hugs and told them I was sorry for leaving them in there for 3 years we are moving, I’ll see them soon and shoved them all back in their boxes.
  • I have a freakish amount of clothes and I’ve even gotten rid of a ton.
  • Mason is a very needy kitty that doesn’t like change and must be by someone every second because I think he fears we will leave him or something. No evil Mama Georgia won’t leave you. She even make him a special tag for his collar with her # and Mason (Bad Cat) on it, seriously it’s a name and a warning.
  • 18 million hair ties. Shoved in strange places. (Kitty Leela's favorite toy)

I have about a hundred things to do still!!! A busy, busy week still left a head of me.
But that’s about it for now! Catch you one the flips side! Back to box, shove, tape and repeat.

Stormy Sings

I have gotten the nickname, Stormy, from some people at work. I think it’s kind of cute, and my co-workers are pretty good to me I got a few calls about how I was doing with the on coming storm. I actually was doing pretty good until I got a really bad headache and I don’t usually get headaches, but I lasted pretty much all day and went home about a half an hour early. Yes last night there was icky weather especially in OK, a tornado hit during rush hour and 5 people lost their lives. I however was snuggled nice and cozy at my to-be in law’s house, as the Boom! Crash! Rain! came and went. Mama Monkey and me ate cheesy beef burritos and watched The Young and the Restless and Dancing with the Stars. It was a pretty good night I must say. All this week is stormy and Georgia is headed off to her brother’s white coat ceremony (Yeah! And Congrats to him!) for the rest of the week, so I may be crawling down to my aunts house this week. I’m really glad I got a large chunk of things packed, so this week won’t be so bad. The main thing I have to tackle for this weekend and this coming week is the CLOSET! Dun, dun, DUN! But after that I think it’s all down hill and the kitchen. But the days till my new home are getting closer as you can see by my paper chain, that I reinforced with extra tape! Grrrr But the days are going by so slow! Gimme my keys!

Mother’s day was nice! I got to see my Blondie and my Grandma, hangout and eat ribs! A lot of my family came over to my grandma’s house it was fun to hangout with them all.
This year due to $$$ I kept gifts simple, cards and candy for the mommies in my life. I love them all so much! Hopefully Christmas will be a good year us, we’ll save up some dough and get good gifts for everyone. (Note: must take me and Georgia’s Christmas tree out of trunk, or take over to Georgia’s new place, or Georgia’s trunk….) Monkey and me went to see Iron Man 2 on Mother’s Day evening!!!!! I’m in love with Tony Stark, I swear if Iron Man was real, it would be my monkey; they have the same personality, really, no kidding. But I bet Monkey wouldn’t mind having the money, cars, fame and kick ass computers and robots Tony Stark has. Okay I want the computers and robots… money wouldn’t be bad either lol. But one good thing is Monkey is a real life hero. And I think he’s pretty super. Lol okay lame last line. J
Life is going pretty good, I’m a very smiley girl, I’ve got my home, I’ve got rhythm, I’ve got my man, who could ask for anything more?!

Yadda, yadda, yadda

Monkey made me a tag, I guess I looked homeless and hungry.

So last night I stayed over at my Aunt and Uncle’s house because Georgia was in KC and my neighbors are so loud, so if she’s not there I jump at every sound, if she is there I can play it off as here watching TV or something. Plus, it actually did end up storming, the lighting was really pretty. But my little cousin, let’s call her Princess, because well, that’s what we call her. But Princess took some photos for me!
It was also funny because I was reading Vampire Diaries and Princess wanted to read it to me, and well she’s 3 and so she told me a story as she turned the pages based off of the cover, which had a face with a little blood on the lip. She asked me why his lip was bleeding and I didn’t know if saying, “well that’s because he drinks people’s blood,” would scare her so I said he got into a fight. So her story was about getting punched in the face, “and daddy punched the bad man in the face and then the other man punched him in the face,” yadda yadda yadda. I closed my eyes and fell asleep until I got whacked in the face and the tiny pixy like princess said listen no go no-nee, no-nee (sleep) So I told her I was closing my eyes and imagining, she seemed pretty okay with that and back to sleep I went ☺

A 3-year olds photo shoot!

Here is also some photos of a very, um, interesting Monkey and our house’s sold sign…. I have no idea….

It's kind of a creepy man's lion pride photo, Man surveying his view... or thinking about what's for dinner...

And some photos of our new living room set from Nebraska Furniture Mart!!!

Our couch that can transform in 3 ways!
Awesome spinning 2-seater chair!
Ottoman
Ottoman open! Place to put blankets and bad kitties! ... Just kidding... sort of...

And lastly a tiny photo shoot I did when I used Hard Candy’s make up primer. I’ve never used a primer before but it makes your skin look really nice and pretty much flawless, but the down side is you have to wait about 5 min for it to dry to put on your other make up, and the price is much cheaper than other primer products and I think it works really well.

Downloaded images from my camera and thought I would share, that's all for now!

Bye bye!

Sleepy Ramblings

I am so tired. Really I walked out of the bathroom door at work today yawned and fell backwards into the door.
I think I’ve been planning too much or something, all of the house stuff; I have a lunch to plan for work, looking at wedding stuff, and packing and cleaning the apartment. I think I’m getting a little worn out. But it’s a good worn out; all of this work will pay off in a few weeks.
I made a paper chain of the count down to when we get to move in, with the date and special appointments on them, except it keeps falling down L That’s okay they are still really fun to chop off.

I got to make a funny image of a giant crazy rooster this week the colors are going to get tweaked, but I thought it was funny.

I have learned that I really have eaten a turkey sandwich about every day for about a month now, just to save money, but also think it’s the key to losing weight.  I used to buy these microwave meals, which are super yummy, but it’s funny if I throw together a turkey and cheddar on wheat maybe a few chips and an apple, I feel fuller, but I’ve also noticed I’m losing weight. The poor woman’s lunch is the key! Who knew? But I really like turkey sandwiches, so I guess that’s good too. I have about 30, yes 30 more lbs to lose, to be the same size I was in high school, so I’m still on my target of 2 lbs per week until the end of July! Plus! I’m really excited my new home is in a nice neighborhood and I can go for walks maybe a jog. Monkey wanted to start doing P90X together again that could be fun, but I’d probably kick his butt! Lol.

I read a really good book lately called, Beastly. It’s being made into a move for sometime this summer. It’s a modern day twist on Beauty and the Beast. Quick read but I liked it. Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favorite stories. It teaches you to love someone for their heart, but I like that in the Disney one, Bell was a bookworm like me.

I’ve been listening to the Legend of the Sword series and I’ve started to read The Vampire Diaries, since I watch the show on TV, they are very different though.

Oh! Wedding stuff! We really like the Argosy as a casino, but for the wedding there really wasn’t anything too WOW about it, especially for the money and the time. So that’s a no go. But a co-worker and I were talking and she said that I should get married on a boat, then all I had stuck in my head was, “I’m on a boat” But that sounded like fun, then we thought of River boats, but for some reason that made me think of Murder Mystery dinners (Don’t ask it just did) So I started looking up river boat wedding yadda yadda, then I typed in Murder Mystery Dinner. And what popped up but the web address for a place called The Woodward Inn that was this interesting old mansion. Hmmmmm…. So I clicked on it and it’s right here in the city! http://www.thewoodward.com/ They have weddings there in a Tutor style library with tall stained glass windows. Oh it’s just beautiful. And I contacted the owner and asked about weddings and it turns out she used to be neighbors with my Poppi when they were in college. It’s a small world. I have got to show my Monkey yet, but I think it’s very interesting and could be just perfect. It’s actually a reasonable price, but I know he is concerned with money because of the new house as am I, but it will all work out just perfect and no matter what we end up doing we will have fun. We are expecting the tax refund for our house, but some are saying that it is taking a long time to get that back, so we will see, we also thought of finishing the basement with the money.
Oh! But the Woodward has Murder Mystery Dinners! I thought that was pretty neat! They hold one around Valentine’s Day every year; also they have really unique rooms with bathtubs right in the rooms! You can even have grown up girl slumber parties there with midnight desserts, movies and spa treatments! Ahhhhh. I haven’t been there yet, but it does sound fun. The owner has asked us if we would like to take a peek at a wedding that she is having there later on this month I’ll see if the family can go.

But that’s about it for now. Amanda needs a nap! I wonder how good I will sleep in my new house…I wonder if it will feel like home?
