I am so tired. Really I walked out of the bathroom door at work today yawned and fell backwards into the door.
I think I’ve been planning too much or something, all of the house stuff; I have a lunch to plan for work, looking at wedding stuff, and packing and cleaning the apartment. I think I’m getting a little worn out. But it’s a good worn out; all of this work will pay off in a few weeks.
I made a paper chain of the count down to when we get to move in, with the date and special appointments on them, except it keeps falling down L That’s okay they are still really fun to chop off.
I got to make a funny image of a giant crazy rooster this week the colors are going to get tweaked, but I thought it was funny.
I have learned that I really have eaten a turkey sandwich about every day for about a month now, just to save money, but also think it’s the key to losing weight. I used to buy these microwave meals, which are super yummy, but it’s funny if I throw together a turkey and cheddar on wheat maybe a few chips and an apple, I feel fuller, but I’ve also noticed I’m losing weight. The poor woman’s lunch is the key! Who knew? But I really like turkey sandwiches, so I guess that’s good too. I have about 30, yes 30 more lbs to lose, to be the same size I was in high school, so I’m still on my target of 2 lbs per week until the end of July! Plus! I’m really excited my new home is in a nice neighborhood and I can go for walks maybe a jog. Monkey wanted to start doing P90X together again that could be fun, but I’d probably kick his butt! Lol.
I read a really good book lately called, Beastly. It’s being made into a move for sometime this summer. It’s a modern day twist on Beauty and the Beast. Quick read but I liked it. Beauty and the Beast was always one of my favorite stories. It teaches you to love someone for their heart, but I like that in the Disney one, Bell was a bookworm like me.
I’ve been listening to the Legend of the Sword series and I’ve started to read The Vampire Diaries, since I watch the show on TV, they are very different though.
Oh! Wedding stuff! We really like the Argosy as a casino, but for the wedding there really wasn’t anything too WOW about it, especially for the money and the time. So that’s a no go. But a co-worker and I were talking and she said that I should get married on a boat, then all I had stuck in my head was, “I’m on a boat” But that sounded like fun, then we thought of River boats, but for some reason that made me think of Murder Mystery dinners (Don’t ask it just did) So I started looking up river boat wedding yadda yadda, then I typed in Murder Mystery Dinner. And what popped up but the web address for a place called The Woodward Inn that was this interesting old mansion. Hmmmmm…. So I clicked on it and it’s right here in the city!
http://www.thewoodward.com/ They have weddings there in a Tutor style library with tall stained glass windows. Oh it’s just beautiful. And I contacted the owner and asked about weddings and it turns out she used to be neighbors with my Poppi when they were in college. It’s a small world. I have got to show my Monkey yet, but I think it’s very interesting and could be just perfect. It’s actually a reasonable price, but I know he is concerned with money because of the new house as am I, but it will all work out just perfect and no matter what we end up doing we will have fun. We are expecting the tax refund for our house, but some are saying that it is taking a long time to get that back, so we will see, we also thought of finishing the basement with the money.
Oh! But the Woodward has Murder Mystery Dinners! I thought that was pretty neat! They hold one around Valentine’s Day every year; also they have really unique rooms with bathtubs right in the rooms! You can even have grown up girl slumber parties there with midnight desserts, movies and spa treatments! Ahhhhh. I haven’t been there yet, but it does sound fun. The owner has asked us if we would like to take a peek at a wedding that she is having there later on this month I’ll see if the family can go.
But that’s about it for now. Amanda needs a nap! I wonder how good I will sleep in my new house…I wonder if it will feel like home?
