Wear your Top Gear when Heavy Bears Attack in the snow....

JustAnUglyMonkey and I stayed up late the other night and watched Top Gear. It was so funny! The guys were in Alaska testing the top American made trucks. I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time! They just messed with each other the whole time.

On Monday we went to our friend’s house to watch Takers, (good movie!) but we also ended up watching Heavy. Have you ever seen Heavy? It’s really good I forget what channel it’s on, but I’m going to have to DVR it, there were two people that were morbidly obese on there put into a program for 6 months and it was amazing this one guy lost 168 pounds. It was amazing and I made me cry. I kept thinking to myself that I’m not even that big and I could do it if he can, I know they have diet plans and they get to workout all day long, but the hearts in there. But I am pretty proud, I’ve lost 6 lbs in 1 ½ weeks, I haven’t checked my weight for this week, but I feel like I’ve been doing sooo good at getting down to the basement and working out a least one a day sometimes 2 for at least 45 minutes. I feel tough I’ve got a little more spring in my step.

It’s snowed like crazy, and I’m a crappy snow driving, JustAnUglyMonkey would say that I’m an all around crappy driver. Which he wouldn’t be lying, I’m not very good. It’s no secret that if I were wealthy one of the first things I would get myself is a driver. But! We just got a new truck a couple of months ago and the deal was that he had to take me to work when it snowed. So after digging our way to China out of our driveway. We got Bear out on the road. Yes, I said Bear. One thing I love about Monkey and me is we name things, his family does it, my family does it, and it’s just a thing. The thing I love about this truck is that it really lives up to its name. It’s a stocky truck with four-wheel drive and can pretty much take on anything in the road. The best part is when Monkey is going to run over a mound of snow, he yells, “Bear Attack!!” I love him. Even if he tells me I look like a creepy fisherman in my yellow boots. I like my yellow boots, they keep my feet dry and they have lots of tread so he can bite me.

I’m really looking forward to this weekend! My Blonde, Mama Monkey, Nana, Georgia and I are getting together to put wedding decorations together!!!! We will put together gift bags, wedding party flowers, table decorations…hmmm I think that’s it. (The only real flowers will be Monkey’s and mine, we want to preserve them) And eat breakfast!! I’m so excited. Time is getting close its only 4 months away!! I keep feeling like I’m missing something, I keep going over and over the things that I need to get done. I need to go see the florist again, we need to get the caterer figured out, talk to our photographer. Those are our big things. Other stuff we have to do are get our passports finished, and talk to a travel agent. Pretty big things, besides having to do our taxes here when Monkey gets his things in the mail.

So pretty much just trucking away at things J I’m really excited that Georgia and me are going to hang out on Saturday too! She started school again and I’m so proud of her! I miss college so I love to hear her stories!

Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t

Whew! Let’s see …

I feel like I haven’t been writing much because not much is going on, well there is but not a whole lot that is interesting… Pretty much I wake up, go to work, come home, do laundry and dishes, take out trash, feed cats, clean litter box, play with cats, watch TV, go to sleep and wake up and do it all over again. JustAnUglyMonkey and I have fun watching TV together, and we go over to our friends house and play cards, and that is a lot of fun, but sometimes I get bummed, because they are smokers and I don’t smoke and they go our in their garage every 30 min to an hour to smoke, I used to go out there with the Monkey to talk to them, but lately I haven’t, it’s in a closed in area and all the smoke just dries out my contacts and makes my chest feel tight, not to mention that it smells like ass. Lol.  Georgia smokes but only outside, I didn’t mind going outside with her because it didn’t make me feel icky, unless it was cold or I had to get back to work.

 

Today Georgia was telling me how she had a sit in with 2 pugs on the street. Yes, pugs the roily bug eyed dogs. She was driving down the street and two of them walked out in front of her and sat down and wouldn’t move, she honked and rolled forward … nothing.. so she got out of the car looked at their tags and walked them home…. Georgia of the jungle I tell ya!

Ahhh Georgia….. Georgia, oh Georgia I’ve got Georgia on my mind….

I still get to see my buddy at least once a week, and we talk or text everyday, but I really miss her a lot. Don’t get me wrong, the stinky boy is wonderful to live with and I love my house and I’m so excited to be getting married and then starting a family with tiny humans, BUT there are so many things I miss about living at the apartment with Georgia. I miss being up at all hours talking and doing goofy stuff, midnight Wal-Mart runs! Trying on clothes doing our make up and hair, she really is my sister. Our home was so quirky and fun. Being in my new home I feel like I have to be such an adult. You know what? I don’t like being an adult. I never have, if it were up to me I would go back to being 18 forever, a nice medium, grown up enough to have a car and some responsibly, but young enough to be silly and crazy. Ah crap at 27 I’ve turned into a bitter old woman…. Someone fetch me my sweatpants…. LOL no it’s not that bad, it’s just growing pains or something, trying to feel out the new me, adult me, trying to mesh her into someone I would want to be friends with. What can I say I have gray hair and crows feet now and I’ve earned them, hey I’ve got it Georgia and I do complain about getting old… now we can be old betties together…. (I can just see me reading this when I’m in my 60’s thinking why the hell did I think 27 was old? I just started living then…. Grumble, grumble, youth is wasted on the young!)  Yeah… I really like old me, she’s funny and doesn’t give a damn. Okay I’m done moping.

SOOOOOO!!!! Life!

The holidays came and went, they were wonderful! Got to see the family, got some AMAZING gifts I’ll have to share photos in a bit to tell you about those.

Spend New Years at our house with friends, made some pretty awesome purple drinks and played Kinect.

It has snowed and JustAnUglyMonkey took me to work in our new truck! When I drove I got stuck in our driveway….

I’ve got the snuffles…

JustAnUglyMonkey and I love to play with Phillip J Fry, our little boy cat. He wines constantly, it’s so funny, he’s such an easy target. We make him dance and run up walls. We turn everything into a toy for him, he’s our little buddy. Monkey is always calling me with stories about him, strangely most of them start out with “you know where I found Phil when I woke up?” I love my boys!!

WEDDING STUFF!!!

We’ve got the DJ, we are cutting down the guest list, and we’ve got candy and decorations going….

I’ve been really good for the past 2 week at jogging every morning or afternoon for 45 mins, to an hour.  I’ve been eating well also, I’ve cut our most pop, I’ve drunk Sprite or 7 up a few times, but diet. I usually at lemon to my water if I want a change in taste. Bland, but it’s worth it to not be a jiggle Mandy.
