Rain or Shine it's still GAME TIME!!

So JustAnUglyMonkey came to my house last night said put on jean, a t-shirt, and some tennis shoes! He had a surprise for me. We hopped in his car and away we went! I had no idea where we were going but I know that we were headed to K.C.
After a game of 20 questions later I got that we were going to a ROYALS GAME!!! They have just built a new stadium and I was so excited to see it!! Plus games are always so much fun. It was raining and the game had been put on hold for a half an hour, but that was okay because we got a chance to walk around and go shopping. J got me a jersey, I look pretty boobalicious (sp?) in it.  But enjoy our photos of the day it was so neat! It was meant to be, we even got free tickets from this guy. oh oh! and I got an ice cream in a hat and now my Yoda Bobble head is wearing the hat. I also think that red and blue chips are funny for some reason.

It was RAINING cats and dogs for awhile in Kansas City, but we knew that it would turn out ok!

Yeah my hair is crazy curly frizzy, from the rain and my pants were soaked, J's feet were freezing but we didn't care.

That is out new screen and it HUGE I've seen it once before but it's still amazing, it's the largest at the moment I believe, but Texas says they are making one bigger....Texas I think they are trying to make up for something...

And this is the BEAUTIFUL sunset that was up as they sang the American Anthem. It was quite a moment....Then we got hot dogs and beer! And later nachos!!! Ahhhh what a really fun day, my voice is hoarse, oh yeah by the way did I tell you? WE WON!! 11-3!!!!  GO ROYALS!!!!

Boring Update and blah, blah, blah

Well it’s that time of the year again, the one I am NOT fond of. Spring. Now don’t get me wrong there are sooo many things that I like about spring. I love birds chirping, flowers, planting things, and everything turning green. I even really like rain. But I DO NOT like storms. I don’t like loud claps of thunder waking me up and don’t get me started on tornados. I spent last weekend over at my aunt and uncles’ house. I do this because Georgia and Is apartment is on the second story and we have no storm shelter. I may have told you this before sorry. But they are so kind to me and I had a lot of fun. So now I have a place to go when I feel afraid!!!!! And I loved going to my mom and dad’s but their house is 20 mins away and that’s a long ways in and back to drive terrified. So while there I tried to help my cousin Tyler with a report he was going for school over our Great grandpa, I took this photo for him since the scanner wasn’t working. I never knew him, but I was told he got to see me before he passed away.
I went and saw my mom and dad at one point during the last week and too this lovely shot of my dad and his boys! They are getting soooo big! They love my mom and dad a lot they run to go see them and my mom calls them the Boo-g brothers. (I’m sure it has another spelling but anyone that I made looked like buggy or boogie and that’s not right) They get into trouble and knock stuff off of tables I keep telling them they will grow out of it…..

On Earth Day some people at work including me went outside to dig in the dirt for a while, it was fun and I got a really yummy cookie afterward! We cleared out some areas in front of our building for other plants I believe but I don’t think they have put anything in yet.
So update on the diet!
I’m on the 18th day and yeah I’ve been fudging the diet a little here and there. Seriously, I’ve had fudge brownies and snickers ice cream! I have even had pizza, I know that’s not good, but I believe everything in moderation. But! I’ve lost 15 lbs. and what is really cool is the inches that I have lost.

I have lost:
1.5 inches in the upper part of each arm.
4 inches in my upper chest and lower chest
3.5 inches in my midriff
3.5 inches in my waist
2 inches in my hips
2 inches on each thigh

I know that’s not a super ton, but it was pretty cool, I don’t think I look that different to tell yet though.

So Speaking of...

So I’ve been bad I haven’t written my progress on here, but! As of today I have lost 5 lbs so that’s pretty much a pound a day. Today at work they provided us lunch, it was Mexican food so my chicken and what not was left in the fridge for greener pastures. I am drinking a TON of water, no lie it feels like a ton. I really like water though so I guess that’s pretty good. And the weight is funny, I'm really glad that I took measurements of my body parts because it seems to be all in my waist, but I'll try and see if I've lost any inches this week or if that's just a cowinky-dink.Other news, Miss Georgia’s grandmother passed away this Monday. She was a good lady. G took good care of her these last few years of her life. Something I learned at her funeral was that she was a WAVE, an Army nurse. Which I thought was pretty cool. Another thing was that she met her husband while in the army and the first date they went on he said, I’m going to marry you and she replied, “We’ll see.” I love that well, he did marry her and they had 4 daughters one of which is G’s mom, and from G’s mom we get G!!! So I am thankful for this lady that has now pasted I have one of my best friends because of her. But G. has been MIA at home because she has been with family so nothing new to report, but I miss our craziness.
JustAnUglyMonkey and I haven’t got to see much of each other this week, we have made plans for something like 2 days now and it just doesn’t happen. So maybe this weekend I’ll get to see him. I made him a 7 Up cake and I have the first season of Big Bang Theory for us to watch. It’s so weird to go from seeing him all the time to hardly ever seeing him. G works the same shift he does and we get to hang out all the time, but I’m pretty sure that’s because we live together, so someday I’ll get to see my Monkey more, hopefully. That will be fun to have a home together. But at least I get to talk to him and see him on his days off now.

Speaking of homes I’m on the search for a house!!! It’s a good time to buy and I really want a place of our own, G and I want something that we can paint and have more room, A BASEMENT! And a yard. So hopefully moving will happen by my birthdayish. Then we can sing, "Our house in the middle of our street, our house something, something a tree, our house with 2 cats in the yard it wouldn't be too hard!" (yeah so I don't know the song....)
Speaking of BASEMENT, my Aunt and uncle have bought a new house that is 5 min away from me, and they are going to give me a key if it gets stormy out they said that I could come over. I love them so much, plus I can go over and hang out with them! They have 2 boys, Tyler and Mason, and a little girl Angelina, a new cat Bobo and a new dog, Carter. It a very fun and alive house! I love it! They also have a pool that I really want to lay by with a slide! I'd totally clean it for them if they would like. oh oh and there is this hill in the backyard that will be great for sledding...and now it's great for my cousins to sit on moving boxes and fly down...I'll have to try that....hee hee hee.

I Fell of the Diet Bandwagon for a day, but it turned out ok!

Ok, so update. This is day 3 on HCGThis is funny. So the first day I tried to stick to everything and did pretty good besides an oreo, a brownie and Curious George fruit snack, but I didn't eat dinner (even though I had one planned) but I wasn't hungry, I just happen to like all of those things....BUT I totally had good intentions for Tuesday (day 2) I woke up 2 lbs. lighter feeling pretty good about that, but I didn't take my lunch to work or make it at home so I grabbed a Sonic grilled chicken salad with Ranch Dressing. I had decided to try and eat my 100 grams of chicken, but the chicken wasn't tasty so I didn't eat it all and I shouldn't have had the dressing but it was good, so oh well ( that salad itself my probably over my allowed 500 cal, but oh well) Then my mom and grandma were shopping after I got off work and I went with them and off to Chili's we went afterwards where I fell off of the band wagon. (but oh it tasted so good!) I had Skillet Queso, 2 Diet Cokes, Honey chipotle chicken strips french fries all with Ranch dipping sauce, I only ate half of it all and I took  my salad home. but wow, but I had fun with the girls so that's what really mattered. Funny thing is I still lost weight! Granted it was only .6 but You'd think I'd gain it all back or at least gain. so that's pretty nice! I'm doing better today, the not being hungry has really kicked in and it I want something to naw on I chew some ice out of my water. I think I just had a habit of putting stuff in my mouth. (Get your mind out of the gutter!) So we'll see how the rest of the day goes :) I'm going to try to make my water into lemonade at lunch, so that should be pretty tasty.
Oh! I got pretty new sandals at Pennys! I've been looking for some for awhile.
(I can't find the cord for my camera, but I love putting pictures on here so you get generic things that I think are funny until I clean my room, which could be awhile, or until one of the cats drags it out into the living room.)

Remember when I first started this blog I said it was to also document my weight loss? Well it took be awhile because I had to wait for the stuff to come in the mail. But! It’s here! I have a friend who has tried this and it worked really well and people in her family have tried it with really good success. It is called the HCG diet. I’ve been researching it and from what I’ve seen is that it does work and there are little to no side effects. BUT it is very restrictive. It’s main goal is to get you in a habit of eating healthy and getting you to a manageable weight. So I’m going to try it. It’s a six-week program and I am on day 3 the actual start of the diet, the first 2 days are called loading days. And it’s not too bad. I’m going to keep a little ticker of what I ate and weight lost. And anything funky or neat that happens so. So far I’ve eaten a Double Stuffed Oreo cookie that I’m not supposed to have, but what’s life if you can’t live a little. And I really wanted it, the frosting part even fell on the floor and I picked it up and popped it into my mouth…. yummy frosting. The HCG is supposed to make you not feel so hungry, and really I don’t feel hungry I just want something to chew on or something, but you can’t have gum…  It will be okay. And you have to drink lots of water 2 liters is the min. Oh oh! And no foundation make up or lotions, but I use powder as my foundation anyways and in the book I got it said St. Ives Vanilla lotion was ok so I think I’ll grab some of that. They also ask that you switch to an organic shampoo and soap and I did and I want to eat my shampoo and conditioner, it’s peppermint mmmmmm and it makes my head tingle. Well I guess that’s it for now, hopefully I will do well!

Egg Rolls for Easter Weekend!

The Blondie and Poppi picked me up over the weekend and we went shopping! And they gave me my Easter gifts! A Brandon Heath CD and Cadbury Mini Eggs oh how I love them!!! They took me to this cute antique shop and bought me 2 beautiful bracelets, a ring and a necklace. Then we walked next door and it was a glass shop where they were blowing glass!! It was really neat!!! I’ll have to go back there someday with G and JustAnUglyMonkey. Then we visited our friend’s newly opened Furniture shop and it is BEAUTIFUL! They have all of these local artist’s paintings for sell and really posh and lush pieces. My friend is the daughter of the family that owns it and she was working there and she just got back home from Australia where she lived for a few years I believe it was really good to see her, and here about her travels. She even showed me and the Blondie the panties from Paris that they sell, ou la la they were nice, but they should be for the price. I got some red current lip-gloss from Spain, it’s really nice. I had a lot of fun with my mom and dad!

Easter Sunday it rained and Georgia and me stayed in our pjs ALL day and watch a full season of Big Bang Theory! I love that show. We can now sing the theme song perfectly by the way. There was a short intermission where I went over to JustAnUglyMonky’s apartment because he wanted to share his push pops and Curious George fruit snacks, which was fun. Oh! and Capri Sun!! (He just went shopping and has enough food to last well him a week, but he could feed a small country if he wanted to) G and I ended up going to Wal-Mart in our Pjs surprise, surprise and getting stuff to make a yummy Chinese dinner! Ohhh sooo good! We were going to color and hide eggs in the apartment, be egg rolls were good enough for us!

Kittens = hours of entertainment!

These are the kittens that JustAnUglyMonkey and I brought to my mom and dad. They have named them Joshua and Caleb. Joshua has darker chocolate fur and Caleb has the gray fur with white, he is also the larger and less camera shy of the two. I spent the night with mom and dad after the wedding cuz I was pooped and I wanted some photos of the little guys. So they were very entertaining we didn’t watch TV or anything when we got home we just played with kittens. They love to fight each other and they love to fallow you around, everywhere. So here they are Joshua and Caleb my new little brothers!

Wedding Bells for Becky!

My cousin’s wedding was this weekend. It was simple and beautiful. As Kansas crazy weather goes it was supposed to be a 70ish degree-day, but it was windy and cold. It stormed a little later in the day but the wedding and the reception were perfect. Becky and Brent got married in the little Baptist church right down the street from my Aunt’s house where her and my grandmother live in this big beautiful Victorian. Dad was camera crazy and took a million pictures; he was so funny taking pictures of everyone. The ceremony was pretty short and sweet, the little ring bearers held each a side of a pillow and looked like ornery little boys and the flower girls looked like little princesses. One little flower girl just dumped out all of her petals in the back of the church and then decided to pick them all back up, it was pretty funny, but she make it back down the isle.

My cousin Becky came in and looked amazing and so happy. Her brother, John, was the pastor for the wedding and it was the first one he ever did! He did great it was funny and sweet! Perfect!

I wore white flip-flops because I couldn’t find any of my pretty strapped sandals! Oh well at least they were comfortable. (Pic of mom and I, I forgot to zoom back out)

After the ceremony the Blondie and I hoped in to the car and chases and honked at the newlyweds, usually everyone joins in and chases them, but it was only mom and me. Well I’m happy we wished them good luck! (Plus I think the Blondie was the only one who could catch up with them)

We went the reception and mom and I were responsible for cutting the cake which either of us has ever done, but I thought we got pretty good at it by the end. Oh! My cousin John (the preacher) has this same sandwich FOR-EV-ER! Like he walked all over with this sandwich, it was so weird!

So enjoy the pics and the videos of this day!

Ah but it was a pretty long day and after we hung out we went home and I slept all the way there.

You Raped my Roll and the Safety Patrol

This is what was left of my half of the loaf of bread at Johnny Carino’s JustAnUgly Monkey raped my roll! Poor poor roll.

Georgia and me have decided that Wal-Marts now days are too dangerous for the common folk. So we dawned some highly reflective vests and decided to either build something at Wal-Mart or keep the peace. We couldn’t decide, too much responsibility we would rather frolic around, so we took them off later, but Halloween might be a good time to jump back into those puppies!

JustAnUglyMonkey Update and 2 Kitties!!

So After my really good weekend, JustAnUglyMonkey called and texted me, told me he was sorry and missed me. So after I really thought we were over, turns out to hopefully just be a speed bump. He is being really nice and we have talked and laughed and gone out all this week. It has been really nice I've missed him, I just hope it sticks. We shall see, I'm hopping for the best, yet sticking to my guns. (That's J and I just so you can have a peek at him)
BUT! He helped me bring the Blondie and Poppi 2 baby kitties!!! He told me where a lady had tons of free kittens and I know I really wanted one, but I already have one and G has one so we're full up on cats at the moment. But he took me there and I picked out 2 little boy (I think) cats for my parents. They are soo cute, photos to come I'm going to go hang out with them this weekend. But we put the kitties into a backpack and we drove to Auburn. Dad was the one I was worried about I thought he might make me take them back but I put them in a box and he screamed like a five year old girl, "TWO KITTIES!!!" They named them Caleb and Jacob like the brothers from the Bible ( I still hope they are boys...) and they are my dad's best friends, he calls me and gives me updates on what the kitties are doing it's so funny!

If this was the Real World I'd have someone Break your Legs now Give me the Money!

Friday March 27th
So G and I are going to KC for the weekend to visit her brother and parents. There’s this snowstorm thing blowing in and it’s starting to sleet outside of our apt. But we are going whither or not we get stuck in a blizzard, it will be a adventure! (Charlie, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5im0Ssyyus ) I get packed we extra feed the cats and we head out around 11 pm. There were a few snags on our trip but G pulled out the amazing Garmin and switched on Daniel the slightly irritated sounding British man, then there were a few more snags and a McDonalds. We made it there sometime early in the morning like 1 or 2. When we got into the house G’s brother “Andrew” started shining bright lights into our eyes and made me wear funky glasses…He’s studying to be a ophthalmologist, he’s not just a crazy light man…or is he… So blinded we went to bed. I have this really nice Green Room as we called it; the carpet is the color of grass. Andrew’s room is next to mine and G is down the hall. The Blondie and poppi called this morning pretty early so now I’m up writing to you. But it was good to hear from them, I miss them. They wanted to say hi before I left for KC, but little did they know I Was Already There!
Search for the Bathroom
G’s family’s house is a lot of fun, it reminds me somewhat of the one in Auburn, it’s very open and has these wood beams it feels nice here. But after the call by the rents I have to go to the bathroom. It’ 5 in the morning, I’m really goofy about bathrooms. Andrew and me have a shared bathroom and I didn’t want to use that one, too noisy, too close. So I walk down to use G’s but she has her bedroom door open so I don’t want to use that one. There’s a bathroom right next to her mom and dad’s room and that one is vetoed. So I venture to the basement and trip over a cat, but ahhh there is the basement bathroom, no one to hear me and hopefully not loud enough to wake anyone. It looks like it could be used it’s got pretty soaps and towels, but then I think is there anything wrong with it? Will it back up if I use it? They didn’t tell me there was anything wrong with the basement bathroom, but then again they probably didn’t expect me to go traipsing around 3 floors to go the bathroom. The “I gotta go” took over, so everything seemed to work out okay, and I’m back upstairs, hopefully the basement isn’t flooding right now and I won’t have to explain to them why I was using the basement bathroom like a crazy person.
Didn’t hear from JustAnUglyMonkey, went to see him on Thursday, still really weird. But at least he was nice and took me for a ride in the car he’s been working on, it was fun. The old guy that I knew showed up and was really great, but then he was gone in a flash. I am sad, but I’m going to enjoy my weekend! It’s started out great!

Saturday March 28th
After my early morning bathroom excursion, I wrote and fell back to sleep. Up now I hear people laughing downstairs. I’m up and I look over the banister and there’s G and her dad watching Elizabeth the Golden Age (oh love that movie!) and I ran down. I can’t believe she is up before me we make an amazing breakfast of Eggs with cheese, bacon, coffee, toast, and orange rolls. Wow breakfast was soo good. It was sleeting pretty good outside and then it started to snow big fat snowflakes. I sat down and watched more of Elizabeth and then Evan almighty came on and I was nestled in the couch watching the snow through the French doors thinking this was my favorite place in the world. I was completely happy. G needed to run to the store and pick up some stuff so she ran off into the sleet and snow like a happy adventuring Eskimo. I ran upstairs and took a shower. G’s mom made some delicious brownies with frosting, and forced us to eat the whole pan….yeah I know poor us. And G kept trying to get us to get together to play Monopoly, after dinner it was decided that we would have game time. We had a really yummy roast with corn, green beans, and augraton potatoes. Georgia and her dad made some kind of English pudding that was like biscuits and gravy. Dinner was devoured.

Monopoly Slumlord Style
I have never played a more cutthroat game of monopoly. There were side deals and contracts, negations upon negotiations. I thought I was doing pretty good I had a prime piece of property with hotels on them I had a little cash flow, but one bad deal and I went under. But it was probably a good time to get out of the game when Andrew told his mom that if this was the real world he would have hired a guy to break her legs for not paying up, and G told her dad it was ok to sell his houses he could sleep in his car….Plus there was homemade strawberry short cake that needed to be eaten.

Sunday March 29th

Woke up around 11 ahhhh second morning in a long time I didn’t wake up with a cat on my face. Popped into the shower got dressed and ready it was time to go “home” (shopping), the snow had melted off of the streets so it was perfect, it was even warm outside. G’s mom and dad let us raid their pantry and take what we liked yum! And after 2 Diet cokes and lots of hugs and thank yous we were off.

Shopping!!!
So our beloved Steve and Barry’s is no more we sadly found out. They had cheap clothes and funny t-shirts. Lets have a moment of silence. Ok done! We moved on in our grief to the Oak Park mall. Ohh la la we found deals and

deals and pretty stuff. They had a dip n’ dots stand and just that would have made the whole trip worth it, but then we found the store Forever 21 we walked in and walk
ed out to get
something to eat, we would need our strength for this one.
So after some delicious Chi
nese and free cookies (I’m a very smiley person and well G just has to
glance at someone and free stuff gets chucked her way) we were back in Forever 21 to do a sweep of the whole store, it’s HUGE! And I want to live

there everything is really pretty and it all feels so good I had to at least
touch it all. The store was about to close buy the time we got done I did the quickest try
on session I have ever done in my life check out and gone. Oh I want to go back I bought 2 really pretty dresses and G 3 really beautiful shirts!
Ride home was quick as drives back usually are for some reason, rocking out to some tunes yelling at crappy truck drivers. We lugged our enormous amounts of luggage and purchases up stairs to the apartment and then had a fashion show!!! Then we went to dinner in one of our new outfits came back costume change and back out to rent some videos looking BEA-Utiful! And we said hey to our boys at Hastings who thought we looked really good. Ah what a wonderful weekend.
