Super Skin Suits, Sci-Fi and Sewing

So the other day I snapped my favorite bra. It was an amazing body by Victoria bra. It was pretty plain Jane, but was seamless and fit like a glove. Yeah stupid wire broke and poked me in the armpit and I couldn’t take it anymore. The problem is that these bras aren’t cheep and so I thought I would go and do the responsible thing and get a cheaper one at another store. And while the one I found does fit very nicely and was half the cost, it has this lacy bit that is itchy and driving me bonkers! Pull out seam ripper or live with it? Hmmm. But it got me to thinking wouldn’t it be nice to have a neat mold thing that you could fit into that was not only a bra that lifted and whatnot, but was like a skin suit. Okay don’t start thinking I’m all Wild Bill and I’m throwing lotion at someone at home in a hole. I’m just saying it could be like a fat suit in reverse? Don’t feel like shaving your legs? Need a tan? Suck in that tummy get rid of that cellulite? Well there’s the skin suit! I don’t know how the magical ins and outs of it would work but you just put it on and you have a perfect body, no worries. I would like that, I would like a skin suit that I could have turn golden brown and slim, you could swim in it, no more being self conscious during vacations or pool parties. It would look just like you and no one would know.  Alright I know that we are already outfitted with something like this, I’m just all for the easy way, the creative techie scientific way… yeah, sure, let’s go with that. Do away with plastic surgery and let’s make custom skin suits lol.  Fine, fine, I’ll be happy with my lacy itchy bra, and I’ll eat some fish and hop on a treadmill. But I did have Chocolate cake for breakfast and I don’t care, it was amazing and hit the spot.
So the other day JustAnUglyMonkey and I were looking at old cartoons we used to watch when we were little we are huge fans of cartoons and believe that they don’t make them like they used to. But it got me to thinking about other stuff that I used to watch when I was a kid and wouldn’t mind seeing again. One was the TV series Beauty and the Beast, and another was this sci-fi TV show that I couldn’t remember the name, and I didn’t watch it regularly, but every time it was on I would watch it. There was a ship shaped like a bug and it ate planets, a love slave, and a dead guy with funky hair. So off to look these up. I have on order the Beauty and the Beast series from my local Library, but I also found that crazy Sci-Fi show! It’s called Lexx and I swept it off of the shelf and began to watch it. It’s pretty campy and slightly pornographic to say the least. Did I mention that I really had creepy taste when I was little, okay I still have creepy taste. Scary and creepy didn’t and has never bothered me. Do I get scared? Yes! But I like it.
So I’m watching this show and I’m two episodes in, and it is like a train wreck I can’t help but keep watching, and there is 4 seasons of it!!! Apparently the love slave is in love with the dead guy, and she’s sad because she’d love to fool around with him, but his junk doesn’t work…. Oh unrequited love, so sad.
I know Monkey won’t watch this one with me, but I wonder if he would watch Beauty and the Beast. I think he remembered that one, maybe if I told him the Beast is Hellboy and that guy off of Sons of Anarchy (New season starting Sept. 7) and the Beauty is Sarah Connor from the Terminator… sounds manly right? And they fight crime! … I think…

I found this amazing blog the other day it is called New Dress a Day.
She spends only $1 on these dresses and then custom fits them for her. She is doing it for a year. Some are really awful outfits that she manages to only save bits and pieces, but for the most part I’d say 99% of the time, what she does looks pretty amazing! She was turning 30 and was inspired by the book, Eat, Pray, Love. It is a really good book and I’m re-reading/ listening to it. But she only has 104 more days to go for her year to be up.
I love to sew, I love to make about anything, and I haven’t made a whole new anything for awhile, mostly I’ve just been hand stitching things but I think I’m gong to hook up a TV finally In the office where my sewing things are and get back to it, he blog really inspired me.
Sew I’ll see ya later!
