Well It's a Tuesday



Well It's day 5 of the Mean Green. Didn't weigh myself this morning. I think I'll only do that on Like Fridays or else I'll be obsessed with it. Feeling a little blue today.  I don't know why not eating certain things makes you grumpy, but it does. And it makes me a level 5 cling on which my husband hates and I know it, but oh well. I also haven't told him that I'm doing this, I don't know if he would care so it's my own thing. He's not usually up when I eat anyways. 

Gosh I hate it in the cold months when your skin gets so dry!!! I'm am constantly putting on lotion!!! Well at least I smell good....

Did a little online Christmas shopping!! I got this book that I had growing up one for me and one for Poppi and the Blonde. They lost theirs. 




I love it! Many of the lessons that I remember about life came for this little cartoon filled book. Lately I've been thinking about forgiveness and not holding grudges. There is this one in there that talks about don't hold grudge and it just gets bigger and bigger and weighs you down. Can't wait till they get here, I know mom will love it!

oh!!! so my little boy cat is being crazy!!! the other day I should have taken pictures of it. Sunday was the day of Phil sitting in weird places.... First he got into the mircowave... then he got stuck in one of my Christmas decorations, then he got stuck in the TV stand..... Then last night was the night of attacking everything. He knocked down the same Christmas decoration that he sat in (there are now cinnamon pine cones in it ... maybe that made him mad...) and he punched a lamp.... weirdo. But then he took a nap, glad he got that all worked out. BUT the good thing is he and his sister haven't really bugged the Christmas tree.... besides the first time he knocked it down.... oh well can't win them all...

Going Green.... ish


So me and a friend, lets call her.... Parker. Have decided to go on a journey and do a cleansing diet. We each have a different one, but they go on for the same amount of time. I've got the will power of a dead opossum and she's strong like bull, so we'll see how this goes. I've been wanting to do one for awhile, many people say it really helps you learn to control your thoughts about food and helps you look at food differently etc. When I did doctor Tauge it did help and the goal was to lose weight which I did, but I never learned how to eat after that pre-packaged stuff so I gained it all back. Boo!!! Plus it cost an arm and a leg. So the goal this time is to lose weight, make healthier choices and for awhile I'll be going vegan.  Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of beacon and I shall return to yummy meats at some point, but going on a journey to find other interesting sources of protein. It will also be an adventure in cooking and baking. My poor Monkey will probably NEVER eat anything I make for me, but that's okay, I will keep him fed in a normal way... maybe he'll let me cook healthy for him someday :) But he can enjoy his healthy wifey.

Our plans started right after Thanksgiving. I did a small juice fast before hand and I think that helped, but boy it's hard to do around the holidays!!! My plan I have based on a friends Mean Green diet.

The recipe for my juice is:

- 6 Kale (stip the leaves from the stalk if you find the stalk taste to bitter)
- 3 Granny Smith Green Apples
- 1/2 Lemon
- Thumb size piece of Ginger root. (add more or less depending on how you like ginger, we also skin it.
- 1 Cucumber
- 4 Celery stalks.

This generally makes 26-32 ounces or about 2 servings. Have 4 servings a day.

So the idea for me is to drink just this for a week... I'm on day 4 of the Green Machine, this weekend was tough and I'll be honest I munched on things I shouldn't have, but today is a new day and it's halfway through and I'm going good :) Then at the end of the week I'm going to add in a small healthy dinner. 

(oh! If I'm out and about and I feel like I want a soda I grab the Naked Green Machine, it's not as good as fresh juiced bc it is cooked so some of the yummy good stuff in fresh juice is lost, but it's not that bad  I don't think either, it's a little sweeter than fresh juice I think also)

So that's the story for now, I meant to start this when I first started, no time like the present right?

So I have 16 oz GM for Breakfast at about 9:30
I'm going to have some for Lunch 
Then some for a snack ... and then for dinner all while drinking a butt load of water... mmmmm
I also have altoids and gum.... I don't think these are at all okay for the cleans (no pop, sugars etc.) but honesty my mouth gets rank and I have to have something in there. There are some that would say after you do a cleanse your bad breath goes away completely or something like that... but .... um no.... I'm not taking any chances I have to talk to people and they shouldn't have to suffer with me... well except... Parker.... Twinkie Strong!! (it's a thing.....)

Okay so I started out on November 13 (14 days ago) at 206 I am now 198. Just to keep a log of the melting chub. That is an 8 pound loss from my juice fast to today. Woot!
