Update on House!!

Whew! So still have tons of boxes in our garage. BUT WE ARE IN!!!  Hee hee our garage, LOVE IT! At first I thought that JustAnUglyMonkey would be the one all excited about the garage, but the first time it rained and I had things to bring into the house it was amazing!!! Just pulled in, closed the door and popped out all dry! Nicccceeee.

So I have lots of nice photos of the house and whatnot, but I’m unsure of where the camera is…

Furniture and going-ons in the house:

• Living room furniture, and it is even more amazing in the house than in the store! But still need end tables, tall lamp, and entertainment center for DVD player and gaming systems, and something to put all of our games and DVDs on.

• Dinning room rug, table and 2 chairs a beautiful painting that Mama Monkey gave Monkey and I, the new dinning room lights are up and new curtains. Mama Monkey also gave us 2 large jars with candy in them AND a basket of chocolates for the dinning room table!

• There are creepy spiders in the basement and Monkey sprayed stuff to kill the unwelcome house guests.

•  Leela came over to her new home on Sunday and they say that it is good for them to stay in a small place then to branch out, well we ended up putting her in the master bath, rather than the basement for a couple different reasons, A) the basement door wasn’t closing right so we didn’t’ want her to get out. B) We had friends over and their little girls wanted to see her. BUT! JustAnUglyMonkey let her out into the master bedroom and she crawled up into the box springs of his bed! He couldn’t get her out!! Now Leelee has done this before, it’s kind of her thing, when me and Georgia were in the apartment we once had a creepy old couch, and she had done the same thing, she was inside the couch! Well the only way to get her out of the couch back then was to cut her out, but that idea wasn’t going to fly with the Monkey so we ended up lifting the box springs up and shaking her out, then the bed was stapled back together and no more problems! Why does my cat like to become one with the furniture?!?!

• The old owner’s washer and dryer were crap and they should have told us, washer leaked water EVERYWHERE and the dryer, jumped all over the place,  we spent the evening mopping and fanning the floor, good thing I had my old one’s from the apartment.

• We played Rock Band as loud as we wanted to and didn’t have to worry about neighbors! I’m determined to learn to do something other than sing!! I’m pretty excited about having a gaming system with Netflicks too!

• We grilled on a little charcoal grill the other night in our back yard, super tasty burgers and grilled corn on the cob!

Other than that just doing little odd jobs around the house and trying to figure out where things go. I still have a cold so I get pretty wiped out pretty quick one day I sat in our round chair and was just going to close my eyes for ten minutes…yeah an hour and a half later…

I am so thankful for our families, they have done so much for us and we couldn’t have done it without them. I’m still in awe of the help, and the gifts. I don’t know what to do to repay them. They are an amazing example of what I want to be for my kids someday, I want to be able to help them with every bit that I can and laugh with them and just love them, like I feel loved and taken care of.

It’s a lot of fun living with my Monkey! I get to see him every day and I’d only get the see him maybe once or twice a week before. It’s nice being around your best friend all a lot. We still think the house feels like an oversized apartment, but I’m happy we are here together, to have our own stories about the house and fixing up to be more homey and when things break and cooking and cleaning. He is an amazing help, he picks up and we both clean things. I’ve got to say he’s pretty amazing. We’ve been watching this awesome mini series from HBO called, The Pacific for a couple of nights, it’s really good.

I miss my Georgia, it’s funky not living with her, I keep thinking she’ll walk in the door and we’ll go on an adventure or stay up all night talking about something. I even miss the evil Mason, and I know that Leela does too; she searches around calling for him. Monkey says once we are settled we could maybe get another kitty, but I don’t know if that would be such a good thing, it wouldn’t be Mason, which is what we are missing. But who knows in time maybe a new kitty would be nice. Georgia and I will still go on adventures and stay up talking, and True Blood is coming on HBO and we always watch that together and I’m keeping HBO just for that so hopefully she’ll get to come over and we can eat and drool over southern vampires together! And I still have Halloween costumes we need to make and wedding plans. Yes, I will still see my Georgia, it’s going to be funky living apart, but anything worth having is worth having is worth working for and my Georgia is!

So that’s all for now, lots more to set up, still need to get the basement in order, Leela a new litter place, sewing/office set up!

I’ll have to get back to those photos of the house, and stuff!
