So I was thinking about, thinking about writing a book. Of course it’s still in its beginning stages of thinking, but hey that’s something. I’ve been thinking of this for a while I’ve even started then stopped I don’t think I’ve ever finished a story. I have all of these great ideas and I read books I like and think hey I had an idea like that and somehow people like it….hmmmm. I think I’ll just write something and finish it, no matter how crappy it is just to get though it. Done. Next.
Also I wanted to share an email that I have written to the head of our mailroom, storage and all around caretaker of the office guy offering my help to a current situation that has arisen at work.
"So me and my fellow ladies (I think there’s a pun in there...), while waiting for the bathroom to reopen, came up with a few ideas for the stall that keeps breaking. So when and if you' all give up the fight and just let it die here are the top ten possibilities for the space.
1. Make it into a small photo booth
2. Set up a little tax booth come tax time
3. Fortune teller at Halloween
4. Photos with Santa and the Easter Bunny
5. Free make up application
6. Hair braiding booth
7. Fireworks stand
8. Sound proof and make phone calls in it, and or voice overs for movies and commercials
9. Make it an everyone's office and let them hang up pictures and decorate it
And my favorite
10. Paint it like the TARDIS from Doctor Who and space and time travel in it
the possibilities are really endless!
(This is what happens with too much coffee!)
But really thanks for fixing the Loo!
Peace and cupcakes,
-Amanda"
I thought they were really good ideas, maybe he’ll be looking to me for guidance in future office matters.
So I have a few photos for you, and I did have some of the living room, but I have decided to retake them when we get our new 58-inch TV!!! But Monkey and Mama Monkey brought home some awesome sauce lamps that are leather and suede and an elephant we have named Tim. Tim will have his own section later; I’m in love with him.
But I give you Kitchen and Dinning Room!
Ta-Da!
I also must always have baked goods at home, I don’t know why it just needs to be, so these are the amazing Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies or Crackies I like to say, you can’t have just one. Super tasty! Would you like the recipe? Okay here you go.
1½ c pack brown Sugar
1 and a ¼ sticks of butter or margarine, softened
2 t vanilla
1 egg
2 c Quick-cooking oats
1½ Flour
1 t baking soda
¼ t salt
1 c semisweet chocolate chips (but I oopsed and just put the whole package in, still super tasty!)
- Preheat oven to 350. Blend sugar, butter, vanilla, egg, salt and baking soda. Stir in Oats and flour, then add Chocolate chips.
- Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet by rounded tablespoons. (This is best done standing atop a chair ;) )
- Bake about 9 mins or until golden brown.
And enjoy!!!
Okay so the chair part is somewhat not needed unless you are my Blondie and her best friend, who decided that to actually drop something you needed more height.
So I found this photo of me at the apartment before we left, I don’t know why I took it, I wonder if it was my good bye to the room that had so much more room for activities or what but I liked it so I thought I would share. Oh! Oh! And next time I’ll have to share our Dave and Buster babies. Pretty hilarious! We are talking about having a photo booth at our wedding! Could be sooo much fun!
Okay see ya! Next time: Ugly babies, more house photos and probably something random.

OMG, Amanda ... I love the restroom booth ideas! I want to know what they said back!!
