Sweet Thoughts

I have a dream. I would really like to open up a new and used bookstore with a bakery cafe attached to it. I’ve always wanted to own a cafe, my dad and I dreamed it up a long time ago. He always wanted to own a restaurant and call it Natalia’s after his grandmother, my great grandmother. We would sell desserts, sandwiches, soups and beverages. We would have meeting rooms where you could have your lunch meeting catered and have all the hookups for any presentation you might need. I would offer comfy places to sit and chat, write the next great American novel, or read. There would be some kind of rule from the bookstore that you had to buy it before you could come to the cafe with it. Something like I don’t come over to your house and spill coffee on your books don’t spill on mine, now go pay the lady, kind of thing. I would also like to have a rental program for college text books, because they are WAY to expensive and they just take advantage of students who already pay a lot for school. I would like my cafe to be active in the community, because the community is what keeps it alive. I would also like to wrap up things that I couldn’t use for the next day, but were still tasty and take over to the hospital to give to families that are in waiting room or sitting with loved ones, at no cost, just out of love. I know what it is like in a waiting room and how people don’t take care of themselves and they worry, a little sweet and some love can make all the difference.
