It’s a month away, it’s a month away! Shake yo boo-tay, My Wedding day is a month away!

So! I’m freakishly excited today!! I jumped for joy as the girls in the office and our publisher asked how many days till the BIG day. Fist pumped in the air and shouted 1 month today!! Yells of glee rang out and our publisher shouted party time!! Yeah!!!

So thus starts the 31 Days of Wedding on my blog. Manly because I’m such a fan of the The ABC family offering 28 days of Christmas and 13 days of Halloween, so I’ve decided that I get my own ## days of something.

Starting off I’d like to offer you some funny wedding images maybe a smattering of Wedding lore and facts and a dash of my wedding updates.

As for my wedding let’s see... we almost have everything wrapped up, I just realized that I need to make a toss away bouquet and get my guarders done, and I realized that when I thought about how I have to get our song lists to our DJ and I thought of our DJ because I have to get a photo list to our photographer and well our photographer was just on my Wedding list of things to-do, which is 25 items long at the moment, not including all the little sub lists within the list. (yeah I’m a list person.) But last weekend we got all of the flowers made and readied to go. (Except evil toss bouquet)  I got all my thank you’s done from my showers and sent out, last minute invites sent, dress fitting, guys tuxes and sheet cakes done! WOOT!

Everything is going good!! God is really good to us and everything is falling into place!! Speaking of God, I went and had my first confession last night. I suck at it. After waiting around in a line of people for an hour, making friends with the people in line asking them what to expect yadda, yadda, yadda. I got to go in with Father. Okay, so I had this all planned out, I even had a little sheet that told me how to respond to what Father said, I was going to tell him it was my first confession and all would be good. Boy was I wrong, came in and kneeled and Father said something that wasn’t on my sheet, so I said “Hi! Umm” Pause reading little sheet, thinking did her ask me a question? oh well, “um forgive me oh Lord for I have sinned, wait no, forgive me Father for I have sinned.” Father lets out a little huff, I say, “I’m sorry this is my first confession, and I’m screwing it up.” He chuckled and said, “oh! okay well what do you want to tell God you are sorry for?” I tell him. He told me to pray and I ran away and yelled have a good night! Cringe. oh well at least I did it, and he was very nice and understanding to the poor bumbling girl on the other side of the screen.

The Ring!
In most cultures the ring is placed on the 3rd finger of the left hand because it is believed that the vein inside of the finger leads straight to your heart.

The bouquet!
I’ve read many things about bouquets and the types of flowers that are put in the and the flower’s meanings, but the best reason I’ve read for a bouquet is that back in the day people rarely bathed so the flowers were there to off set the smell of the BO... ewww

Bridesmaids!
The just of the story about bridesmaids is that they: a) ward off evil spirits from the bride b) ward off evil men who would steal the bride which is why they all look the same and walk before her. Nice ladies, niceee.

See ya later tatters, for day 30!
